Telemedicine

Telemedicine

Telemedicine is a great option for patients that are unable to travel to our office due to lack of transportation or if you’re out of town. Currently we are offering telemedicine for those that may be experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, patients that are being self-quarantined, or for those that do not want to schedule an office visit for fear of coming into contact with the Novel Coronavirus.

Telemedicine can be used to receive care for any medical matter that doesn’t require an in-person visit to the office. This actually represents a large number of issues you might connect with your doctor about, ranging from management of a chronic condition to handling acute issues that don’t require a physical examination. If at any point your doctor feels it is most appropriate to see you in person, they will let you know – otherwise there are many situations where you can conveniently get the care you need, wherever you happen to be.

Some examples include:

  • Acute issues – colds, headaches, rashes, etc.
  • Managing a chronic condition with your doctor
  • Follow-up after an in-person appointment
  • Medication renewals or refills
  • Lab results

It is important to note that the Hale app is not intended for medical emergencies. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency seek immediate care by calling 911.
